Our history
From a London idea to unforgettable stages.
Lakhe Production began with an idea that took shape in London between 2017 and 2018. Suman Waiba and his cousin Nita shared a dream of organizing events together. While searching for a name, they chose "Lakhe Production." Inspired by Nepal's traditional Lakhe dance—unique, bold and full of character—the name captured their vision of creating something distinctive and creative. Although they were unable to organize an event in London, the idea remained alive.
After moving to Germany, Suman carried the vision forward. He began working with John Lama, Surendra Pradhan and Sanjay Maharjan. Together, they organized film screenings and a small show featuring legendary Nepali singer Deep Shrestha. When the pandemic struck, all activities came to a halt and the team members gradually followed separate paths.
Refusing to give up, Suman continued independently. In 2024, Lakhe Production successfully organized a concert featuring Sabin Rai. A few months later, it presented a major concert with John Chamling Rai and The Edge Band. By then, a strong new team had formed: Suman Waiba, Resham Tamang, Daya Thapa, Sandeep Waiba, Milan Lopchan and Sony Tulachan. Together, they delivered a memorable event.
Later in 2024, Lakhe Production also organized a comedy show. Although it was not as successful as expected, the experience provided valuable lessons and helped the team grow stronger.
In April 2025, Lakhe Production organized a major concert with Chirag Khadka (5:55). This was followed in July 2025 by the successful Purna Rai and Daju Bhai Haru concert in Hamburg.
Today, Lakhe Production continues to grow with a clear mission: to bring people together through music and culture while creating unforgettable live experiences.
